In 2024 Itaú celebrated its 100 years by honoring one of the greatest names in Brazilian culture.
Fernanda Montenegro is a legend. At 95 years old and with more than 80 years dedicated to cinema, television and theater, she is loved across the country. Yet most Brazilians have never had access to theater.
So if people cannot go to the theater, we brought the theater to them.
Itaú transformed Ibirapuera Park into a stage for Brazil’s greatest actress, performing the same intimate play she presents in small theaters.
More than 15,000 people watched live, giving Fernanda Montenegro the largest audience of her career.
A historic performance that entered the Guinness World Records as the largest theater audience in the world.
